The Town Crier was on the Market Place announcing a Beer Festival at the Abbey Buildings this weekend.

Members from the Abbey Baptist chapel, next door, were also out on the Market Place to let people know about their activities. They have a Good Friday Service at 10:30 am and an Easter Sunday Service at 10:30 am.

The Church in Abingdon also has a Good Friday procession and united service on Good Friday. The procession will leave Abingdon Library at 11.45 am, proceeding through the town centre to St Nicolas Church for a service at 12 noon.

There was a big green NSPCC stall on the Market Place this morning with things for sale and prizes to be won.

Also after a few days without, the postbox lid has a new crochet top featuring Peter Rabbit.

Next Saturday on the Market Place in Abingdon NSPCC will have table top sales, tombola and raffle.

The last few days have been warm and sunny here in Abingdon. This Saturday the Abingdon Green Forum were getting people to talk about Active Travel and Sustainable Transport.

There were also cyclists cycling round the town centre to make the local councils aware that safer routes for cycling and walking are needed through the town.

Meanwhile there was a Clothes Swap for Teens in the Guildhall.

The Farmers Market was on the Market Place with about fifteen stalls. Some were familiar with their colourful floral display.

Others were new. Chiltern Charcuterie were in Abingdon for the first time.

Spring officially starts on Sunday. It felt like Spring today with the sunshine and flowers and the Chilterns in Abingdon.
